At Alfie's Cat Rescue, we believe every cat deserves to land on their feet. Through our rehoming programme and trap, neuter, return scheme, our volunteers work alongside adopters, foster carers, and the wider community to give cats across Selby a safe place to call home. Whether you're ready to adopt, foster, volunteer, or support the cause, there's a place for you here.
All cats are checked by a qualified vet, vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped before adoption.
Foster volunteers host the cats in their homes so they can learn to trust and demonstrate natural cat behaviours.
A comprehensive rehoming process ensures cats are matched and rehomed with the perfect family.
It takes just a minute to find your forever companion.
As a charity, we rely on the kind support of the community – monetary donations and supplies keep the cats in our care happy and healthy.

"We had such a wonderful experience with Alfie’s cat rescue! Beccy was so helpful before and after adoption, truly easing the process of having our first kitty. Kacchan is getting on so well in his new home! Every night he sits in his big cat tree looking over the city out the window. He is just as he was advertised; sweet, loving, affectionate, and loves his humans! Thank you so much Alfie’s!! "

"The whole experience with Alfie’s Cat Rescue from start to finish was great, starting with a home visit to make sure that our boys were going to be a good fit. It was clear throughout the whole process that Beccy was keen to make sure that they went to a good home which we really liked as we knew that their welfare was at the heart of everything she did. We had a visit with the boys at their foster home before we made the decision to take them home which made us fall in love with them even more - the foster family were lovely and again it was clear they had been chosen carefully by Beccy. It was all very well organised, including the vaccines and neutering which was done after the boys reached the weight needed."

"We are beyond grateful to Alfie's Cat Rescue for bringing Alice into our world. At almost 14 years old and deaf, her initial hissing and hiding quickly dissolved into the loudest purrs, attention and cuddle seeking meows, hilarious sock hunting skills and just the most wonderful, affectionate character we've ever known. She is at home in our hearts. We love her. Thank you xx "
